Trace minerals?
Oral supply may not always fulfill the need of high trace mineral demand moments in both beef and dairy cows.
Mineral requirements in cattle are designed to stay alive (maintenance) and accomplish basic biological and production tasks (lactation, gestation, growth), there is nothing accounting for a sudden spike in trace mineral demand¹.
Factors such as individual intake variability² and antagonism³ can significantly reduce the amount of minerals available to cattle, no matter if they are placed on pasture or indoor.
Trace mineral (TM) strategic injection is not an alternative to proper oral supplementation
